Mountain Rescue England and Wales
Mountain Rescue England and Wales oversees 47 volunteer mountain rescue teams and eight regional bodies across eight key areas: the Lake District, Mid Pennine, North East, Peak District, Peninsula, Yorkshire Dales, North Wales, and South Wales. Additionally, two associate teams operate in southwest England. Our mission is to support these teams in delivering the highest standard of care to those in need.

As an AALA-licensed provider of Adventure Activities, all providers are required to implement robust Health & Safety Policies and Procedures covering every aspect of their operation, including risk assessment, staff qualifications, operational systems and protocols, booking systems, equipment maintenance, venue safety, accident and emergency procedures, and first aid. These measures are essential to ensure that all services and activities meet national health and safety standards in the adventure industry.
Providers are also expected to enhance these standards through comprehensive internal systems.
