Adventure Activities Licensing https://www.hse.gov.uk/aala/

As an AALA-licensed provider of Adventure Activities, all providers are required to implement robust Health & Safety Policies and Procedures covering every aspect of their operation, including risk assessment, staff qualifications, operational systems and protocols, booking systems, equipment maintenance, venue safety, accident and emergency procedures, and first aid. These measures are essential to ensure that all services and activities meet national health and safety standards in the adventure industry.

Providers are also expected to enhance these standards through comprehensive internal systems. This includes ensuring that instructors assigned to clients or groups are fully informed of each participant’s objectives, fitness and skill levels, health considerations, any specific physical or psychological needs, and relevant prior experience. By adopting this personalized approach, providers promote best practices and ensure the highest quality and safest possible experience for all participants.
